| Cathy Jenkins received both her B.A. in Linguistics/TESL and M.A. in Linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University. She is currently on the faculty of the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, and is an instructor for the English Language Academy at DePaul University. Cathy was also an | | instructor for 10 years at Literacy Chicago, a community-based literacy organization, where she helped develop their Basic Skills Adult ESL program. Cathy presented research on student self-assessment at the 2005 Illinois TESOL Conference in Chicago, and on humor in the classroom at the 2004 International Society of Humor Studies Conference in Dijon, France. |
