| Carolyn was born in Hawaii, grew up in Japan, and currently resides in Indiana. She has a B.A. in Liberal Arts (ESL) and an M.A. in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She has taught EFL in Japan and ESL in the United States. Her experience in teaching EFL/ESL in a | | variety of settings, including private language schools, adult learning centers, and college, has provided her with an interest in teacher education and professional development, which she hopes to pursue in the future. Carolyn is bilingual and bicultural in Japanese and English, and enjoys surfing, fishing, camping, and traveling. |
